HazAlerts transition
Migrate the HazAlerts AU website from a pre-pandemic state to it's current form.
Migration of the website was necessary due to social media API changes where those companies opted to increase the cost of access significantly. It was deemed non-viable to continue the project as-is.
HazAlerts was created in the post 2012 floods of Queensland Australia. There was a vision to leverage new social media platforms Twitter and Facebook to help disseminate governmental information during disaster periods. The purpose was to help the community directly with relevant information while travelling or at work & home.
